Chief Architect

Job description / Role

Client is a leading architecturally led, multi disciplinary engineering consultancy who have worked on some of the most high profile and iconic design projects in Saudi Arabia. They are currently looking to recruit a Chief Architect to be based at their Riyadh head office.

The role will involve effective leadership of the day to day activities of the architectural department including the following:
- Supervision of the design team.
- Ensuring architectural design is properly coordinated with the other design teams.
- Presentation of designs to regulatory and client authorities.
- Ensuring the completeness and quality of design work.
- Ensuring the technical output meet current codes and standards.
- Supervision of staff development.

Requirements

Candidates will have a bachelors degree in architecture and must also be accredited by an architectural professional body such as RIBA, AIA, RAIC etc and should have a minimum of 15 years experience with some of this being achieved in the Middle East.

Candidates should have a thorough experience of all aspects of building design and construction process' as well architectural materials and their application. Candidates must have experience of using the following codes - IBC, NFBA, and ADA
