Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job description / Role

Our client is searching for an experienced CFO to lead the business through its next phase of growth.

Our client are a specialist Steel fabrications business, who are looking to continue to grow their market share and increase their profitability. They are experienced, have a good reputation and a healthy balance sheet, enabling them to capitalise on opportunities in the current market.

Reporting to the Managing Director, your primary responsibility is governing the Finance and Admin Team, whilst establishing and executing a transformation and continuous improvement plan, focused on all areas of the finance operations. You will also partner closely with the MD and the Senior Leadership team to add value through the provision of financial advice across all areas of the business. Your key responsibilities include:
* Responsible for management of the Finance and Admin function, including preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual accounts,
* Provide accurate, timely and astute financial analysis and advice to the Managing Director and the Senior Leadership team
* Manage all budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities, as well as bringing transformation to this area through an overhaul and modernisation of the processes.
* Introduce a continuous improvement process for all finance policies, procedures and systems, to improve the overall service of the Finance team.
* Oversee the implementation of new information systems, to maximise efficiency and accuracy in reporting,
* Management of internal and external stakeholders; Board of Directors, Managing Director, Department Heads, JV Partners, Audit firms, Banks, Management Consultancies, etc.

Requirements

Our client is looking for a CFO candidate with a proven track record in a senior finance leadership positions, only from Steel fabrications companies.

The successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria:
* Bachelor's Degree and MBA / Professional Accounting qualifications
* Previous experience in leading a large finance team in a multinational company
* Strong leadership, people management skills and stakeholder relations
* Broad finance skills and experience that includes financial accounting and audit, budgeting, planning and reporting, tax and treasury, risk and compliance
