Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a governmental organisation in Saudi Arabia who is looking to hire a Chief Procurement Officer to lead the entity and develop all new systems to assist with the privatisation program in line with the National Transformation Program 2020.
You main duty will be to establish a clear organisational plan and systems to set a fair and fast process to create a suitable energy price from the power plants across KSA. You will create a contract administration of services, supply and purchasing procedures as well as set up a database for suppliers and contractors. Maintaining current knowledge of advance purchasing methods and techniques and applicable laws, rules and regulations, you will recommend revisions to existing practices maximising efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction and statutory compliance. You will promote and maintain the good name of the company whilst conducting business in an ethical and professional manner to ensure avoidance of all actual and potential conflicts of interest.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be Degree educated with a minimum of 10 years' experience within a senior procurement role. You should be a strong negotiator, have excellent communication skills and be a forward thinking, analytical and commercial individual. In addition, it is essential you are bilingual in Arabic and English. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a growing organisation.
