Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Due to the continued success of our Saudi Arabia office and recent project wins, we are currently seeking a Civil Engineer (FIDIC) to join our team in Riyadh.

You will act as the consultant on this very exciting project, providing excellent service delivery to meet client objectives.

Other duties include:
• Implements quality controls with review and design compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
• Manages staff and activities concerned with scheduling and resolving engineering design and construction problems
• Provides direct oversight and evaluates/approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
• Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget
• Reviews project plans and proposals, then works with client to develop project objectives
• Identifies project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project
• Calculates time frames and sequences the stages of the project
• Prepares and distributes a description and timeline of the project
• Studies product design, customer requirements performance standards, then determines project specifications
• Reviews contractor bids; interviews and assigns personnel to specific phases and elements of the project

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or other suitable engineering related discipline
• MEng is preferable but not essential
• Strong technical delivery experience
• Minimum 10 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in Saudi Arabia
• Sector experience ideally would be in defense or aviation
• Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
• Excellent specification writing skills
• Detailed understanding of FIDIC Contracts
• Strong track record in project management of projects from inception to completion
• Track record of working with stakeholders
• Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
• Able to build long-term relationships
• Previously employed by a consultancy
• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
• A team player, outgoing, friendly, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
