Job description / Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heritage Civil Inspector to join our dynamic engineering consulting team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil engineering work is performed in accordance with the established specifications, standards, and regulations. You will play a key role in monitoring construction activities, providing quality assurance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with civil engineering standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Review construction plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure that all work is executed according to the approved design.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and communicating any issues or discrepancies to project managers and contractors.
- Monitor construction progress and quality, ensuring that all materials used meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and contractors to address any construction-related issues that may arise and propose solutions.
- Conduct material testing and sampling as required to verify the quality and performance of construction materials.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets by providing input related to inspection timelines and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety on the job site.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities, progress, and any potential delays or challenges.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in civil engineering and construction quality control.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil inspection or a similar role within the engineering consulting industry.
- Must have previous experience in Heritage projects
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, as well as relevant software applications for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
