Job description
We are seeking skilled civil inspectors to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience, specifically within the consultancy sector, with a strong background in site supervision for projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of civil engineering works to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor construction activities, materials testing, and quality control processes to verify adherence to approved plans and specifications.
Identify and report any non-conformities, defects, or discrepancies observed during inspections and coordinate with project stakeholders to address corrective actions.
Review contractor submittals, including method statements, shop drawings, and material samples, for compliance with project requirements.
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to clarify technical specifications, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project progress.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project records, documentation, and progress reports.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and site visits as required to support project coordination and interface management activities.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior inspectors and site staff as needed.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental compliance on construction sites, enforcing best practices and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to achieve project objectives and deliver quality results.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering inspection roles within the consultancy sector, with a focus on site supervision for infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
Professional certifications or licenses related to civil engineering or construction inspection are advantageous.
