Civil Structural Design Engineer

Job description / Role

Job Responsibilities:
• Preparation of FEED documents and drawings.
• Preparation of DED documents and drawings.
• Preparation of Bid engineering estimates for the project.
• Preparation of Scope of work and Engineering man-hour estimate of the project.
• Preparation of Scope of Work, Basis of Design.
• Preparation of Construction Scope of Work for the Contractor.
• Attend Site Surveys with Clients and Contractors to determine requirements necessary for an accurate and competitive design proposal.
• Preparation of Complete Technical Proposal – design for the FEED.

Technical Skills
• Development of RCC Structural Design
• Development of Steel Structural Design
• Development of Liquid Retaining Structure Design
• Development of Pipe Rack Design
• Development of Foundation Design
• Development of Utility Design including Sanitary, Oily and Storm Water Drainage System
• Preparation of Purchase Requestions
• Provide construction support through TQ responses
• Development of Rebar Detailing and Steel Detailing
• Preparation of Estimation
• Familiarity with ACI, AISC and ASCE Codes
• Architectural Design, Interior Design.
• Provide sound technical expertise when applying engineering principles, techniques and methods to design of infrastructure, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Review and extracts engineering information from CAD Drawings
• Performs engineering tasks effectively and accurately.
• Carry out technical review for all design deliverables, including Independent Design Checks.
• Prepares engineering designs computations, sketches, and review final design drawings/documents.
• Establishes the design requirements of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverable for adherence to these criteria.
• Assure design is in conformance with time, cost, schedule and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate the work of the project team with other engineering disciplines through liaison with other engineers.
• Prepares and issues specifications and other construction documents.
• Assist Engineering Manager in supervising assistant and Junior Engineers
• Review designs prepared by others as part of a Quality Management process

Candidate with 10 to 16+ years of experience working with oil and Gas industry, Refinery, Petrochemical Plant.

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / BS – Civil Engineer / Structural Engineer

SOFTWARE SKILL SETS
• STADD Pro, ETABS, MATHCAD, MICROSTATION, Microsoft office
