Description
JOB TITLE: Clinical Instructor

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Collaborates with Nursing Leadership, Nursing Development & Saudization (NDS) personnel, and the multidisciplinary team to assess learning needs of all nursing staff.
- In collaboration with NDS personnel, develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies clinical learning activities according to assessed needs and levels of proficiency.
- Incorporates standards of care, JCIA requirements, staff quality improvement, and research findings into designing educational programs and clinical inservices at the unit level.
- Participates in and conducts classroom education in collaboration with assigned NDS personnel utilizing the principles of adult learning, transcultural nursing, and competency based practice in classroom and clinical inservices.
- Supervises, evaluates, and makes recommendations regarding retention, remedial actions, and/or dismissal of new nursing orientees/employees in collaboration with Nursing Leadership.
- Participate in the competency based assessment of employees and in the revision of competency based practice documentation.
- Communicates effectively, in a timely manner and continuously with Nursing Leadership and NDS personnel at unit level, service level and division level
- Participates in research, publication and performance improvement activities.
- Prepares and maintains educational reports and records.
- Mentors new employees by providing orientation, acting as a resource person, providing direction, participating in the evaluation process and providing feedback to Nursing Leadership.
- Provides director, mentorship, supervision and support for unit preceptors.
- Assists with Saudization program.
- Participates in outreach activities.
- Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
- Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Registered Nurse with current nursing license from country of origin
- Five years recent acute care nursing experience
- Teaching experience.
