Employment: Full Time

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
• Provide an overview of the job, its context in the company, and the contribution that it makes.
• Air Products Engineering is accountable for driving competitive execution strategies through leading and managing the design, build, commissioning and successful handover of Process Plants to worldwide customers.
• In achieving this, high safety performance is taken as a given.
• Manage commissioning and start up of projects from development phase through the project development and estimation, execution and to site.
• The Start Up Manager will represent Air Products at site and during office development and client interactions.
• The role may require and extended duration at site on an agreed rotation, initially at the AP Jubail site.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Outline the main daily duties, tasks and responsibilities of the position.
• Advise on Commissioning techniques, review and generate work instructions, Commissioning Procedures, startup check lists and templates.
• Provide technical input to start-up engineers for trouble shooting, coordinate with other engineering disciplines during commissioning to resolve and expedite.
• Drive use of Completions work process, and safety during facility transition of Construction to Commissioning and subsequent handover to Operations.
• The incumbent must be self motivated, have an ability to handle multiple demands requiring quick resolution and manage expectation of a range of stakeholders.
• They should be able to build relationships quickly and communicate effectively across the organisation.
• Experience and Skills Proven experience within large projects, relevant working experience in industry
• Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results for large plant commissioning and start up's.
• Experience with completions or commissioning tracking tools preferably Go Completions Has proven interpersonal skills associated with managing a construction work force.
• Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 15 years relevant commissioning and start-up experience
• Good understanding of QA/QC requirements for final documentation on oil and gas related construction projects.
• Effective communication and reporting skills.
• Proficient in HSE management principles and its application in the field including MOC, SWP and associated procedures.
• Experience of managing multi-disciplinary, diverse teams.

REPORTING TO: To whom will the person report.
• The position will report to the Project Execution Director KSA, and have functional reporting to EMEA Commissioning Manager

WORKING HOURS:
• Full/Part Time; Contract/Permanent
• Full Time Travel will be required to KSA and other countries in the region Rotations will be required for international travel according to AP policy.

Requirements

• Proven experience within large projects, relevant working experience in industry
• Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results for large plant commissioning and start up's.
