Configuration Control Specialist

VHR is actively recruiting for our Aviation client and is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Configuration Control Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of aircraft configuration data and documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage, track, and control modifications to aircraft systems and components, adhering to aviation regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Configuration Management:
* Maintain and update aircraft configuration records, including changes to systems, components, and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, including GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation) regulations, ICAO standards, and IATA guidelines.

Documentation and Records:
* Review, analyze, and update technical documents such as Engineering Orders, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives.
* Create and maintain accurate records in configuration management systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, or CAMP).

Collaboration and Communication:
* Work with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure all modifications and changes are implemented and documented properly.
* Act as a liaison between departments to resolve configuration discrepancies and streamline processes.

Audits and Compliance:
* Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
* Identify and correct inconsistencies in configuration data to uphold compliance with GACA and international standards.

Process Improvement:
* Recommend and implement enhancements to configuration control procedures.
* Utilize analytical skills to optimize configuration management workflows and reduce errors.

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in configuration control, technical documentation, or a related role within the aviation or aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations ideally in GACA regulations, ICAO, EASA, FAA or IATA operational standards.
• Proficiency in configuration management software and tools (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, CAMP, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
