Construction Director - Saudi National - Real Estate / Entertainment

Our client, a construction and real estate company focusing on development of leisure facilities in Kingdom requires a Construction Director to join on a permanent residential basis in Riyadh, KSA.

The main purpose of the position is to lead and control the delivery component of the development function in all territories to ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of departmental activities. Stakeholder management at the delivery stage of a project including consultant shortlist, permit, landlord and government approvals, acceptance of handover, construction, client direct installation and final approval to open facility.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities include:

Strategy & Planning - Support the business expansion and growth (all divisions) across the region by creating and initiating a country entrance strategy.

Leadership - Be a visible, reliable figurehead of the Delivery Development function internally and externally.

Human Resources -Ensure that the workplace is safe and that all staff are motivated, guided and directed to contribute fully to realizing the function’s mission, vision, goals and objectives.

Business Development & Delivery - Participate in the delivery of all new cinemas and refurbishments to maximize profitability by minimizing gross lettable area.

Financial - Responsible for financial management and record keeping of relevant stages of each project. Ensure compliance with all contracts, legal agreements and the proper execution of all municipality and government requirements.

Operations - Ensure compliance to relevant training and audit of health and safety policies and quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, as well as risk manage assets impacted by projects across the portfolio of the Cinema division to guarantee employee and contractor safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Requirements

Suitable candidates will be a graduate in civil engineering or architecture and have a minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience and proven record of accomplishment in project management, preferably in facility development and construction. You will have strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, acute financial, risk management and legal acumen, excellent strategy formulation and implementation skills, strong customer understanding and time management skills.
