Construction Manager

Job description / Role

Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, we are only accepting applications from candidates with transferable iqama and already based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

• To manage the site execution of the project such that it is completed within the time, cost, productivity and quality requirements of the contract while adhering to the Company’s quality and safety practices.
• To assign and distribute efficiently the available resources, materials, subcontractors and equipment on the project.
• Manage the construction effort and be the construction representative of Client. To plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan,
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project, report and present recommendation to Head of department,
• Prepares, supervises and approves the development of PExP [from construction point of view], and its implementation plus ensuring Lessons Learned are properly documented throughout the life of the project including Project Close-out,
• Responsible for implementation of the scope of work as related to construction/ fabrication, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of the facilities in conformance with project specifications, Scope of Work, and in accordance with the approved Project Schedule,
• Monitor and report to Head of Construction & project development of project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner,
• Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance.
• Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures/work instructions.
• Optimize overall construction manpower, equipment, and materials allocation on site to meet budget.
• Supervise the complete construction work of assigned project and ensures its completion within budgeted time, cost and productivity and quality standards.
• Supervises overall attendance, productivity, and safety of construction staff and non-staff on site.
• Assist Project Management office with preparation of Project Schedule, Manpower Schedule, Material Log, and drawing log, and any changes thereof in coordination with
• Planning and Cost Control Units for initial project planning.
• Issue all site-related material requisition forms using Product Catalogue, coordinates purchase and delivery of required materials in coordination with supplier, and oversees inflow/outflow of site store materials.
• Ensures that the quality of material and installation of work is in accordance with the acceptance criteria identified for the project by QA/QC.
• Conducts daily meetings with site staff to organize work scope for the day/next day to ensure proper planning of site supervisory staff.
• Responsible for issuing instructions to the site staff to complete the works in accordance with the project plan, schedules, specifications, contract and allocated resources.
• Responsible for monitoring all sub-contractor works to ensure that the works are as per the job specifications, timeline and contract requirements.
• Monitor and compile productivity rates as required by the Planning and Cost Control units.
• Review and comment on methods statements issued by QA/QC to ensure timely compliance and execution of the works.
• Responsible for the timely relaying of daily site progress reports to Projects Control.
• Responsible for the safety at site by coordinating with the site engineer and the safety officer.
• Ensure his site image is in compliance with Company standards and policies.
• Leads the site meetings to validate accurate forecasting and allocation of resources.

Salary:
SAR 20,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• University Degree (Minimum of 4 years) in Civil or Construction Engineering.
• High-rise Buildings, Large 5-star Hotel developments, Large Shopping Malls, Hospitals etc in Singapore, Hong-Kong, Qatar, UAE or India.
• Must have completed two full project life cycle.
• Detailed knowledge of overall construction processes and operating practices
• Microsoft Excel, scheduling software such as Microsoft Project

• Basic salary (based on experience): SAR 20,000 - SAR 25,000
• Housing allowance for family per month = [ (3 x Basic Salary) / 12 ] SAR
• Transportation allowance per month = 1000 SAR
