Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overall management and coordination of construction equipment for the construction area assigned to maximize productivity and maintain schedule.
• Report to Senior Construction Manager and the Project Management team daily.
• Develop and attend weekly construction management meetings with all subcontractors and management teams at site to report progress, issues, and schedule amendments.
• Develop contingency and recovery plans as required.
• Monitor equipment performance and utilization; provide continuous improvement input and strategy development.
• Monitor project materials and long lead items delivery dates to the construction schedules and milestones.
• Requires knowledge of construction techniques and equipment in order to develop strategies and manage overall quality and efficient daily production of equipment.
• Develop solutions to complex problems that require a significant degree of innovation and ingenuity.
• Manage all on-site equipment functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
• Develop procedures as needed.
• Function as liaison between multiple project managers, construction, and contractors.
• Provide constructability input and construction planning.
• Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensure that personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures and has front line responsibility for providing a safe work environment.
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules and issue progress reports as required.
• Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Instigate and attend weekly HSE construction management walks of the construction site with all subcontractors and client management teams.
• Ensure quality plans and QA/QC procedures are implemented and followed by all contractors and subcontractors with the required reports issued as the contract stipulates.

Requirements:

• Relevant years of experience in heavy industrial project - proven work experience required.
• Proven experience in managing big construction projects required.
• Proficiency with OSHA requirements is required.
• Solid safety implementation experience and successful safety performance required.
• Experience with direct hire staff preferred.
• Solid quality assurance experience and performance required.
