Job description / Role
Main responsibilities: Perform complex surgical procedures involving the face, jaw, mouth, and skull, including trauma surgery, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, and craniofacial reconstruction.
- Diagnose and treat oral and maxillofacial conditions, such as facial trauma, congenital deformities, tumors, cysts, and infections.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, imaging interpretation (CT, MRI, X-ray), and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, oncologists, and orthodontists, to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
- Provide dental implantology services, including bone grafting and pre-prosthetic surgery.
- Perform minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques, including laser surgery, computer-assisted surgical planning, and 3D imaging for precise interventions.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to optimize functional and aesthetic outcomes for patients.
- Participate in research, training, and education programs for junior doctors, medical students, and allied healthcare staff.
- Engage in continuous professional development, attending conferences, workshops, and research initiatives to stay updated with advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and quality improvement programs within the hospital.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS/BDS) and Master's or Doctorate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Completion of residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from a recognized board or institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in the home country or resident location.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon in a reputable healthcare institution.
- Expertise in facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, TMJ surgery, and oral oncology.
- Proficiency in dental implantology, orthognathic surgery, and minimally invasive techniques.
- Life support certification (BLS/ACLS/PALS) or equivalent.
