Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Prospect Health

Prospect Health has been working alongside our biggest and most prestigious public provider of healthcare in Saudi Arabia and they have requested that we find a consultant in radiology specialising in neuroradiology.

The Organisation

This prestigious client oversees the Saudi Arabian government's healthcare sector and is recognised throughout the region for the high calibre of their personnel and the outstanding level of care their patients enjoy.

This organisation's hospitals are renowned for their high-quality evidence-based patient care practices. There are tremendous opportunities for staff growth and development, as well as a very active in-house training and education through lectures, seminars and workshops, which are regularly scheduled by the Academic Affairs, Training and Development and Nursing Education Departments. In addition, more specialized courses on patient care, latest technology and training on specialized equipment are arranged in collaboration or sponsored by external providers.

The organisation applies high regard to the welfare of its workforce; orientation and induction are given to new staff to ensure they are competent, confident and supported through mentorship and preceptorship to mould them into the workforce. Furthermore, benefits and rewards are very encouraging to the staff.

The hospital provides optimal health services to its staff and their dependants and will expand these to pilgrims during certain parts of the year.

Location

Saudi Arabia is situated between Africa and Asia near the Arabian Peninsula, framed by the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba to the west and the Persian Gulf to the east. The kingdom has been described as feeling like the centre of the world and is certainly the heart of the Arabic speaking community.

The cities in which our client's hospitals are based are modern, cosmopolitan and offer a huge variety of activities, cuisine and retail choices. Indeed, familiar European brands in clothing and food outlets are on offer but without the VAT on purchases. Alternatively, the traditional souks will cater for those seeking a more traditional, cultural experience.

Riyadh, the Kingdom's political capital, is located close to the centre of the country. It is one of the largest cities in the Middle East and has a growing expatriate population, known for being a little more conservative than some of the other cities such as Dhahran or Jeddah.

The diversity of nationalities in Saudi Arabia is uncountable, with individuals from all corners of the globe relocating here. Everyone can relish in the Saudi way of life and in the rich cultural history that Saudi Arabia has to offer; including the two holy cities Mecca and Medina, and also Dir'iya, which offers a look into what life was like when the Kingdom was first born.
