Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Contract Director join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Delegating work, setting clear direction and managing workflow.
- Managing the team to ensure the goals for the successful delivery of the projects on time and within the budget.
- Ensuring the terms of the contract are followed and manages supplemental agreements.
- Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts.
- Directing and assessing and reporting upon client's variations to the construction works and claims for changes from the contractors.
- Directing, Assessing, measuring, advising, and recommending on cost impact of design changes.
- Directing the reviews, assessments and reports upon contractor's claims including review of time extensions, delays, and penalties.
- Preparing Change/Variation Orders and reports upon cost impacts of such orders on the construction budget.
- Making commercial decisions that impact positively on both short and long term bottom line results.
- Building and leveraging strong relationships within the organisation and external partners for the benefit of the business.
- Analyzing cost and value drivers in order to making sound business decisions.
- Monitoring performance against clear standards and improving governance in the organisation.
- Identifying and developing talent to move the business forward and drive engagement.
- Ensuring the delivery of the contracted PM/CM services to the client.
- Participating in establishing and implementing the Project Management Plan and procedures.
- Implementing standard risk management routines with management support, to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Preparing tender strategy; identifies qualified consultants, contractors and vendors; prepares and issues RFP's, evaluates proposals; negotiates contract terms/deliverables/payment schedules; and issues recommendation to the client.

Requirements:

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 25 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
- Excellent experience in a previous PMC role is essential and excellent experience in contracts, contract administration processes, claims, procurement aspects, project control principles and practices.
