Control Systems Engineer

Job description / Role

Control Systems Engineer - Al Khobar, KSA

- Supervise Design Contractor's activities during detailed design and engineering phase including review of reports, attending meetings, monitoring of resource levels, monitoring of compliance to DEP's, HSE etc.
- Review Key Deliverables prepared by design contractor's Control Systems team
- Review and evaluation of equipment bids for technical compliance, review/ approval of vendor drawings, participation in witness testing, review and approval of TPI reports etc
- Review Project scope, preparation of material requisition, material selection, data sheets & specification
- Technical Evaluation of vendor offers, Vendor discussions, Vendor drawing reviews, follow up vendor inspection visits etc.

Requirements

- Degree qualified Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineer with minimum 15 years of experience
- At least 8 years of Engineering experience in Major O&G Projects
- Strong knowledge of Conceptual Design, FEED and Detailed Engineering of Oil /Gas/ Petrochemicals Processing facilities
- Extensive knowledge in control systems design, engineering calculation and detailing.
- Assist with verifying, monitoring and overseeing the complete implementation of project specifications such as design drawings, diagrams, codes and other related electrical and instrument project specifications.
- Must be familiar with International standards (IEC), American standards (NEC), British standards (BS) and European standards (EN) CENELEC for classification of electrical & Instrument apparatus into explosion groups, temperature classes, zones, type of protection and IP protection classes.
