Job description / Role

Delivers timely and accurate projects news and insight within Saudi and Bahrain with coverage of GCC and the wider MENA region from time to time.

- Typically has specialism in the construction industry, including architecture.
- Leads the file on a major story within the location or region.
- Gathers information to break news and write stories through various means including research, developing sources of information, covering events, etc.
- Builds expertise and knowledge in relevant areas of the projects industry.
- Writes stories with accuracy and speed and in accordance with company principles and editorial standards.
- Build a strong network of freelance reporters and provide guidance and training.
- Embraces the principle of telling stories using the most appropriate media available.
- May have pan regional or cross border virtual team leadership responsibilities on a story, coordinating with equivalent experts within or outside the region.

Requirements

- Has a university degree or equivalent experience.
- Has in-depth knowledge and deep expertise within the projects industry in Saudi, GCC and rest of the Middle East.
- Has established broad internal and external networks.
- Has record of strong writing and reporting to high editorial standards and principles.
- Has record of encouraging others and helping them to develop.
