Cost Control Engineer

Palm Shade Group is seeking to hire a qualified professional for the following position:

Cost Engineer – Technical Office
Operation & Maintenance Sector
Location: Jeddah

Job Purpose:

To monitor and control costs for Operation & Maintenance projects, prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets, and analyze cost variances to ensure financial efficiency and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates and preliminary budgets for O&M projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis in coordination with technical teams.
• Monitor and analyze variances between planned and actual costs.
• Prepare periodic cost control reports using ERP systems.
• Provide financial and technical support to project managers through detailed cost reports and analysis.
• Participate in tender and bid analysis, reviewing pricing and cost structures.
• Prepare financial performance reports for management and clients.
• Contribute to improving cost control tools and digital transformation initiatives (ERP / Power BI).
• Ensure compliance with approved policies, procedures, and performance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a specialized cost control role within O&M or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Control, Value Engineering, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Proficiency in Primavera, Excel, ERP systems, and CostX.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with high attention to detail.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Work Environment:

• 80% Office-based
• 20% Site-based
