Cost Control Manager

Job description / Role

Responsibilities:

- Preparation, Checking and log in the RTP, VO's, Payment applications.
- Preparation of PM's payment application and follow up with the Employer for approval and release. Maintain an account for the reimbursable.
- Assist in the review of A/E and Contractors monthly invoices and expedite approval and processing of payments.
- Review A/E and contractors Bonds, Insurance Bonds and Payment Guarantee, etc. and monitoring updates of documents.
- Assist in project close out activities associated with the cost issues.
- Review Final Payment requests and evaluate release of retention.
- Liaise with the cost consultant (ECOM) and the Employer for all cost related issues.
- Assist in preparing the supporting, cost related documents for the monthly reports to the Employer.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered or Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.

Overall Experience Required:

- 20 + years of experience, directly related to the position for which application is being made of which at least ten (10) years must have been spent in significant similar engineering and project supervisory assignments as such wherein involving independent decisions and comparative responsibility. demonstrated Project Controls Management experience on large, multi-million dollar infrastructure programs.
- Proficient in the use of cost management systems.
- Extensive experience using Primavera Project Management software.
- Be able to effectively communicate concerns, complexities, general project controls information and other considerations to varied audiences including clients, departmental management, engineering, project and construction management, and project teams.
- Be able to define and prepare accurate and meaningful reports, narratives, letters and memorandum which clearly communicate status, issues or other concerns on behalf of the program controls department.
