Cost Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management on various construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also adhering to industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Analyze project costs and prepare detailed reports for management.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather cost-related data.
- Monitor project progress and actual expenditures to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare contingency plans to mitigate financial risks.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain a database of cost data for benchmarking and analysis.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field.
-CCP Certified
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
