Job description / Role
The Design Management Manager will be responsible to lead and manage the design process for multiple assets, specifically hospitality. The individual would be responsible to overlook design from concept to technical design packages and ensure compliance.

The client is a leading mixed-use developer in the Kingdom with a unique focus to the natural components of the region.
Description
* Manage the design process for multiple asset class types, leading the project through drawings, master plans, concept designs, and preliminary and final designs from an architectural and interior design perspective. Hence, ensure compliance with the approved design intent and direction.
* Facilitate the understanding of the design briefs, area programs, scope of work, so as to ensure the Consultants are delivering as per the requirements and expectations of the company and project.
* Maintain and manage relationships with design consultancies and key stakeholders to ensure cooperation while providing clear and consistent directions to goals and objectives, standards, site and time lines for all projects.
* Review and ensure that all designs submitted are in compliance with the applicable engineering and sustainability standards.
* Manage the coordination with design management representatives, other disciplines, like engineering, operations, etc to provide integrated design solutions.
* Coordinate with the development team to ensure all that all design deliverable for tenders are provided in coordinated packages to suit the projects procurement and delivery strategies and support in the resolution and response to tender queries.
* Maintain and manage standards during the construction stages of the project. Work alongside the development team to ensure the coordination of packaging and issuance of relevant documents.
* Provide input on the selection of the design consultants, including the shortlisting and evaluation of briefs.
* Have a strong technical understanding and background in Master Planning, Technical Engineering, Landscape, Architecture, and Interior Design.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Minimum of 10 years in design management, particularly in international mega projects, with a broad range of experience in mixed-use asset developments.
* Solid track record of managing designs using softwares like AutoCAD, AutoDESK, Revit and so on.
* Experience in managing and dealing with prominent third party advisors, design and project management companies, operators, subcontractors, etc. ideally in the Kingdom or MENA region.
* Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project and Construction Management.
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic.
