Job description / Role
Our client is a large international PMC requires a Design Manager with strong buildings experience for their office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Suitable candidates who fulfil the criteria below are invited to apply, preference to candidates in Saudi Arabia with transferable Iqama.
Role Responsibilities:
* Contribution to overall profitability and management
* Manage the design process of large complex mixed use developments including iconic assets, working with both external designers and Development Client's technical team
* Manage and interprate the Client's expectations and feed these into the designers programme and deliverables.
* Work with and inform other functions of a large PMC team such as programme and procurement to ensure the delivery of world class development in line with the Client's expectations
* Assume responsibility for the management and delivery of large and complex projects
* Manage project planning and resourcing activities
* Lead and supervise a team of technical staff
* Deliver excellent client service
* Leadership in the adherence to all business systems within the team with an emphasis on health and safety, sales and delivery
Key Experience:
* You will be degree qualified with a Bachelor of Architecture or Engineering and ideally the locally recognised Professional Engineer status in KSA
* Over eighteen years' experience in the Construction industry
* Demonstrated leadership and management ability
* High level Design consulting and client management skills
* Experienced in the delivery of major and/or complex design projects
* Excellent communicator with well-developed, analytical and technical skills.
* Ability to manage projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept and detailed design
* Excellent English language skills (written and verbal), Arabic is not essential but preferred.
* Takes initiatives, acts with confidence and works under own direction.
* Makes clear decisions which may involve considered risks.
