An international project management company is looking to appoint a Design Manager to work on a Major New mixed use development in Jeddah.
The ideal candidate will have been involved in Mixed-Use Projects encompassing Public / Commercial / residential buildings.
Requirements
Key responsibilities
• Management of the design process from planning, pre-construction, construction, through to handover
• Management of High Value projects from conception to handover.
• Guidance and advice on design and package implications during pre construction phase and upon build-ability issues
• Responsible for closely liaising with and understanding the requirements of the regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, including the metro, DCOMM, civil defense, and others.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, good knowledge of building regulations, contracts and construction, commercial judgment and the ability to lead large teams.
• Advice on value management and project specifications, maintaining the design brief within cost restraints, risk assessment and risk management, legislative compliance.
• Management of multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally.
Must have an Architectural degree with at least 20 years experience, preferably 5-7 with an international company.
