We require x1 Design Team Leader with MEP background to hold senior role within the MEP designs for:

King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Project for the Development of Security Forces Medical Complexes
Saudi Arabia’s largest medical project, and also the largest medical project in the GCC, is the estimated $6.7bn King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Project for the Development of Security Forces Medical Complexes, which comprises two separate medical cities for security forces that are being developed in Riyadh and Jeddah on behalf of the Kingdom’s Interior Ministry.
Our client is the main MEP Contractor within this joint venture project.
The scope of work includes the construction and fit-out of medical complexes, each with a total built-up area of 1.3 million m2, with medical facilities across 400,000m2, residential units over 500,000m2 hectares. The developments also contain research facilities and office buildings, and will be served by about 200,000m2 of car parking.

Requirements

1. Main responsibility
The Design Team Leader is responsible for executing, investigating the project and preparing the design for MEP systems in accordance with Project requirements.

2 Reporting and authority
- The DTL reports to the Senior Project Manager.
- Contacts with Client design team subordinate company staff,
- Responsible for technical design & workable solution within Budget.

3 Scope of work:

(1)-Project Investigation
- Realize site inspection and project specifications & drawings analysis.
- Issue with the design team preliminary design (in case that the design is not available in tender documents) & equipment selection.
- Issue with the design team the construction issue drawings for implementation
- Technical appraisal of selected equipment.

(2)- Technical support
- Providing technical support to the site team once design is completed

(3)- Contract execution preparation
- Execute with the design office the detail design including schematic of MEP Systems , flow and consumption calculation, sizing of pumping system , pipe sizing , selection of final fixtures & Equipment, Calculations for Cables, Breakers etc .
- Submit the design for approval to the Senior Project Manager (in compliance with specifications & client expectation).
- Prepare construction documents to the site including BOQ of equipment, Construction drawings,Technical specifications, & Equipment documentation.
- Issue Master List of Imported equipment if applicable.

(4)- Contract execution and acting as Project Manager for medium size project

- Manage submittal of equipment & design drawings for approval by the client.
- Participation in site coordination meetings.
- Preparation of Builders work drawings, combined services drawing, As Built Drawings,

4 Skill
The Design Team Leader should possess the following qualifications:

- Educational background in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or master degree level from a recognized western University.
- Have good knowledge of hydraulic design , HVAC Codes, Electrical Codes and good engineering practices,
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in engineering sector.
- Ability to work in a team as leadership, to take decision and evaluate priority, respect engagement, be devote to his job and defend the interest of the company.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Have negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
- Computer literacy and especially MS Offices, MS Project, AutoCAD.
