Development Director (Private Developer)

Job description / Role

The Development Director will lead the end-to-end development life cycle of large-scale residential, commercial, and hospitality projects from concept through completion. This role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and deep experience in real estate development within Saudi Arabia.

Description

As Development Director, you'll be responsible for:

* Leading the full development life-cycle including from feasibility, design, approvals, procurement, and delivery
* Drive development strategy, business planning, and financial modelling for new and existing projects
* Manage consultants, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
* Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk management
* Work closely with senior leadership on investment decisions and portfolio optimisation
* Ensure developments meet market demand, brand standards, and regulatory requirements

* Proven experience in a senior development role within residential, commercial, and/or hospitality real estate having delivered minimum 3-4 projects through the projects entire full lifecyle
* Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian real estate market and regulatory environment
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex, large-scale developments
* Excellent financial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Arabic speaking is advantageous but not essential
* Degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
