Development Management Director - P&DS

Riyadh or Jeddah, KSA

Position overview

The Development Management Director will lead and oversee real estate development projects from inception through completion within JLL's Project & Development Services (P&DS) department in KSA. This senior role requires expertise in managing complex development projects while ensuring alignment with client objectives, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and execution of significant real estate development projects across various asset classes in the KSA market.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication of project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Oversee project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Navigate KSA regulatory processes and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Implement risk management strategies to identify, mitigate, and resolve project challenges.
• Generate business development opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior development professionals on the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field; master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development or project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in the Saudi Arabian real estate market.
• Strong understanding of development economics, feasibility analysis, and financial modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English communication (written and verbal).
