Job Summary

The Project Director is accountable for the performance of the Project. He will define and implement the project strategy and business plan, develop and promote the business, oversee delivery, enforce policies and procedures, ensure quality and manage cost, capacity and utilisation. The jobholder is responsible to attract, develop and standardise project capabilities and to reach out and coordinate with design Sectors and Supervision teams for the identification and staffing of project team members, as needed. He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the space and will represent the firm in the professional engineering community and international forums.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Project teams towards achieving the MOF plan targets
- Accountable for the performance of the project managers for all projects
- Define and implement the MOF's PMC strategy and business plan
- Develop and promote the business, oversee delivery, enforce policies and procedures, ensure quality and manage cost, capacity and utilisation.

Duties

- Lead the delivery of design and construction management services for PMC programs across the organization, including the management of design and construction consultants and contractors, tracking of design and construction progress, provision of PMO services to clients, etc.
- Oversee the development of program management policies and procedures
- Provide input on capacity and capability required to deliver PMC projects
- Coordinate for the estimation of project delivery cost estimates for design staff and supervision staff on MOF projects, respectively
- Assign Program and Project Senior Managers and PMC staff to MOF projects
- Guide the development of program and project plans, including master programs, method statements, procurement plans, submission schedules, project / interface management, etc.
- Oversee the development and deployment of Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) on MOF projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Engineering is desirable

Experience Required

- 20+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering firm
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership role within a quality, HSSE, knowledge management or continuous improvement function
- Experience with researching and implementing corporate-wide improvement initiatives targeting an organisation's key processes and activities
