Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Will be responsible for providing policy direction in all legal aspects and leadership of a team of legal professionals. And provide advices which enables the business to achieve set commercial goals as well as protecting legal and regulatory interests. The interactions with the wider business and uses an expert understanding of Legal practices and theory in order to input into strategic business issues. Will also lead on the Legal aspects of key long-term projects impacting across the whole business.
• Set policies and deliver high-level briefs on behalf of senior management relating to key specialist requirements which have a significant impact on the organisation
• Act as the leading authority within a given Legal discipline in order to provide advice to the business, ensuring best practice internally and externally.
• Lead all Legal activities in the department and ensure the appropriate governance framework is in place to enable business objectives to be met and return on investment maximized.
• Develop and lead the delivery of key large-scale Legal projects which impact across the business ensuring that they are consistent with local and Group strategy and delivered effectively.
• Lead the department/team, ensuring that the appropriate people strategy is in place to recruit, retain, train & develop staff effectively
• Build key internal and external stakeholder relationships and manage the integration of the department with others in order to influence the business in their approach to commercial risk and deliver a better service to the business
• May negotiate with external contractors in order to agree and set service standards
• Supervision and administration stuff work distribution and follow-up their implementation
• Working as a consultant to the CEO all matters related to work plan and legal affairs.
• Development the general legal strategies and polices of the company in order to reduce the Lawsuits, and disputes with third parties, and other potential problems related to the company’s business.
• Follow-up all regulations, circulars and decrees by the relevant government bodies and authorities, and reporting to the executives .
• Follow-up all regulations, circulars and decrees by the relevant government bodies and authorities that related to operation of the railways and to ensure the implementation and meeting the minimum requirements.
• Representation of the company before the judicial Authorities.
• Representation of the company in local and international participants as requested by the executive..
• Assessment of the company’s strategic partnerships.
• Build relationships with law firms that provide legal support to the company.
• Review and finalize the company contracts, agreements, MOU and legal notes.
• Preparation and review all correspondence which have legal nature.
• Propose appropriate recommendations on company polices, and ensure safeguard the company’s interests and rights.
• Prepare and submit periodical report to the CEO on work of the department.
• Investigation assigned by CEO in coordination with the concerned authorities.
• Perform any other work assigned by CEO and / or Board of directors.

Requirements

• University degree in Law
• Experience not less than 12 years in legal field
• A fluency in both in Arabic and English language.
• Proficiency in using computer.
• Ability for leadership, analysis and business achievement follow-up.
• Knowledge the Government regulation and decrees related with legal business.
• Ability in innovation and negotiation, devolution and team building
• Mastering in communication skills and dealing with others.
• Ability to develop and modernize work method and models.
