Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations / Operations Manager with a strong background in rooms division to join our team in Novotel Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, with a particular focus on rooms management, to ensure exceptional guest experiences and optimal financial performance.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize operational efficiency and profitability across all departments, with a focus on rooms division
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures
• Drive revenue management strategies to optimize room rates and occupancy
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, local regulations, and company policies
• Collaborate with other department heads to enhance overall guest satisfaction and loyalty
• Implement and maintain quality control systems to uphold service standards
• Analyze performance metrics and guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge in the market
• Represent the hotel in community events and industry forums to enhance its reputation and build strategic partnerships

Qualifications

• Proven track record in hotel operations management, with extensive experience in rooms division
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, particularly in rooms division
• Proficiency in hotel management software and systems
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages are a plus
• Understanding of Saudi Arabian hospitality market and cultural norms
• Must be a Saudi national
