Description
Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for an innovative and experienced Director - Technical to join our team. This key leadership role will focus on managing all technical aspects of our ambitious projects and initiatives, ensuring that we deliver high-quality outcomes that align with our strategic vision.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical engineering, project management, and leadership in a large-scale development environment. You will play a crucial role in leading your team to enhance operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that all technical requirements are met.
Key responsibilities
- Technical leadership
Provide vision and direction for the technical department, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance skills and expertise.
Drive innovation by encouraging and implementing new technologies and methodologies. - Project management
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all technical aspects of projects are integrated effectively. - Continuous improvement
Identify areas for improvement within technical operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilize data and metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed. - Stakeholder collaboration
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support project success. - Compliance and risk management
Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering and construction.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical operations. - Reporting and documentation
Maintain thorough documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management in large-scale development or construction projects.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and principles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to large-scale projects.
- Track record of successful risk management and problem-solving in complex environments.
- Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
