Eram Talent is currently looking for a gas distribution SCADA specialist to join a leading energy company in Saudi Arabia. As an essential player in the growing field of gas distribution, you will be responsible for the monitoring and management of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems specifically designed for gas distribution networks.
Your role will be to maintain, administer, and optimize the SCADA system and communication network of the Gas Distribution Network (GDN) to ensure high availability, system integrity, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA software, hardware, RTUs, and communication networks.
• Administer Windows OS and SCADA servers, including backups, user access, and performance monitoring.
• Respond to system alarms, analyze real-time data, and support operations with technical troubleshooting.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on SCADA application software, operating system, and hardware of GDN.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on RTUs and related communication network of GDN.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA systems and field devices.
• Ensure proper integration of new devices and systems into SCADA.
• Support commissioning, system upgrades, and vendor coordination.
• Manage spare parts inventory and initiate material requests.
• Participate in reliability studies, site surveys, audits, and technical evaluations.
• Adhere to HSE standards and contribute to project and reliability initiatives (e.g., RCA, RCM, HAZOP).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of field experience with major utility organizations or SCADA system manufacturers.
• Experience working with SCADA systems of Gas Distribution Network including RTUs in metering skids and related communication systems.
• Experience with Wonderware SCADA system and Emerson RTUs of metering skids.
• Must have MCSA or CompTIA Server+, CCNA, JNCIA, HCIP, or CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Good understanding of communication protocols and interfaces such as Modbus, RS232/485, etc.
• Experience working with SAP - Plant Maintenance module.
• Strong understanding of SCADA protocol functions and implementations.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA systems relevant to gas distribution.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in the gas industry.
