Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Leads a group of document controllers and/or records clerk working as a dedicated team for EPC, detail engineering and/or construction engineering project or several projects;
- Ensures implementation of engineering procedures related to document control of a dedicated team, detail engineering and/or construction engineering project or several projects;
- Ensures proper receiving and registration of Client provided document, including in-house generated document;
- Controls issuance of document numbers, including maintenance of proper document registers;
- Monitors document inter-discipline check in collaboration with the Project Managers;
- Reviews completeness of documentation and accuracy of document transmittals;
- Ensures quality of document reproduction, scanning, microfilming and distribution in accordance to Project requirement;
- Prepares and maintains as-built drawings detail/construction engineering project, either for in-house use or for onward transmittal to Client during project closeout;
- Ensures proper document classification, sorting, filing and proper archiving;
- Performs document quality check in accordance to Company engineering document control procedures;
- Performs file backup to ensure proper storage and archiving of electronic registers;
- Performs proper disposal of obsolete documents during project closeout in accordance to engineering procedures and/or project requirement; and
- Prepares engineering project reports, as may be required.

Requirements

- B.S. degree, preferably engineering or business administration, plus equivalent related years of work experience;
- Minimum of 5-7 year’s work experience, of which at least 5 years in an engineering environment of 2 year experience working as Sr. Document Controller with proven supervisory track record;
- Must have good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office software’s;
- Experience in the G.C.C. countries is preferable;
- Must be fluent in English (Oral & Written) and ability to prepare procedures, reports and statistics; and
- Candidate must have transferable Iqama.
