Drainage Projects & Flood Hazards Prevention Engineer

Linum Consult’s client is an established engineering services and consulting company currently seeking an Arabic-speaking Engineer specialising in Drainage Projects and Flood Hazards Prevention to join their team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, creating conceptual designs for flood prevention measures and drainage strategies
• Designing foul & surface water and SuDS systems
• Undertaking site visits to liaise with internal and external project stakeholders
• Checking and verifying technical works
• Producing and assisting with financial proposals
• Ensuring all designs and technical documentation adhere to national and company codes and standards

PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Water Engineering, or similar relevant subject
• 15 years’ experience in drainage engineering and Flood Risk Assessments
• Proficiency in the preparation of complex foul and surface water drainage strategies, including SuDS techniques
• Technical knowledge of any of the following software: Microdrainage, InfoWorks, ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, or QGIS
• Good understanding of international engineering standards and codes
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic
