Industrial complex, Riyadh

The center of alfanar’s industrial activities is alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh.

Spread across 700,000 square meters, the complex houses alfanar’s facilities.

The complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job purpose

To support product development activities by conducting prototype assembly, field trials, 3D modelling, and packaging design while ensuring compliance with design requirements. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, managing design materials and samples, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Key accountability areas

Proto assembly and field trials
Conduct prototype assembly and field trials (where applicable) to ensure compliance with design requirements and performance standards.

3D modelling and documentation
Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using SAP ECTR.
Develop Bills of Materials (BOM), perform tolerance stack-up analysis, and ensure design outputs conform to design inputs.

Packaging development
Design and develop packaging solutions, including product packing, leaflets, and catalogues, to support product presentation and marketing activities.

Workplace safety and organization
Maintain a safe and organized workplace by applying 6S principles.
Adhere to safety protocols and good housekeeping practices within the design office and stores.

Prototype preparation and monitoring
Prepare prototype assemblies, display boards, and functional demo samples as per design specifications.
Monitor new product assembly trials during NPD pilot lots and perform preliminary testing on prototypes and finished products.

Material organization and inventory management
Organize materials in the design storage area, including tested, competitor, and trial samples.
Coordinate with production/stores to arrange material requirements and facilitate inventory counting and scrapping of obsolete materials.

Documentation and record keeping
Prepare and maintain all documentation as per NPD stage gate deliverables.
Ensure records are accurately stored in designated locations for easy access and compliance.

Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-solving:
Solve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:
Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business process improvements:
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:
Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, safety, and environment:
Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic qualification

Diploma degree in design or any relevant field.

Work experience

Fresher - 0-2 years.
