Job description

• Pick up / drop hotel guests at predetermined locations and predetermined times in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Duties include operating and maintaining transportation vehicles with a focus on safety and customer courtesy.
• Assist guests in the handling of luggage and large packages.
• The driver may open the car door for guests.
• Educate passengers with regard to local information.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary.
• Fuel the vehicle.
• Ensure that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported.
• Document customer usage.
• Prepare trip reports.
• Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary.
• Assist guests in and out of the vehicle.
• Provide other services as requested by management when not engaged in transportation service.
• Be familiar with the roads and landmarks in the UAE (especially Dubai).
• Be knowledgeable of all local rules of the road.
• Coordinate and share information with the Concierge, Front Office, and other departments.
• Effectively handle all guest requests.
• Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks (which may not be stated here) as requested.
• Review and update the logbook.
• Be smart, well groomed, and maintain a friendly and cheerful disposition at all times.
• Report regularly on happenings to the FOM / Director of Operations.
• Maintain associate relations.
• Resolve guest complaints.
• Ensure the services are up to the required standard.
• Check hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs.
• Attend training classes as per schedule.
• Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
• Be aware of the daily activities and have product knowledge of all the hotel facilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, 1 - 3 years experience in 4-5 star hotel.
