Economic Specialist

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in the Middle East. They are seeking a bilingual English- and Arabic-speaking Economic Specialist to join their team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing support to the company’s policy analysis on economic and development issues
• Supporting strategic partnerships and resource mobilisation
• Examining market dynamics, identifying patterns, and assessing the health of economies
• Providing strategic insights through data analysis, forecasting, and policy evaluation
• Conducting market research and analysis on economic issues, particularly industry trends within the construction and/or engineering industries
• Advising senior management on investment strategies, risk assessments, and policy evaluations

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or similar relevant subject
• At least 10 years’ experience in areas related to economic analysis, particularly in the construction and engineering sectors
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Arabic
• Background in economic research & analysis, and in development project design
• Strong organisational skills, with high attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ideally have previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC area
