Job description / Role
Job Purpose:
Performs field and sustainment level installation, maintenance and technical support for Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), various miscellaneous Battery Backup Systems, Rectifiers, Batteries as well as Automatic/Manual Transfer Switches.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Performs the full range of operation and maintenance; to include but not limited to; scheduled and unscheduled; installations, decommissioning, inspections, analysis, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform monthly maintenance and check of all batteries , rectifiers and UPS systems, to include bringing UPS systems on line (load) and taking precise measurements validating operational readiness.
• Install, maintain, and repair telecom site building AC/DC circuits and related equipment.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications
Requirements
Qualification/Experience:
• Associate diploma/degree in electrical / electronic technology and five years of telecom industry electrical installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
