Report to: Maintenance Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Electrician/Electrical Multi-skilled Operatives to join our team and carry out a variety of electrical duties

Duties:

• Surveying sites where electrical systems are installed
• Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings
• Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
• Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed
• Identifying electrical problems and repairing them
• Advising the company's management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
• Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
• Perform general electrical maintenance
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
• Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
• Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
• Good knowledge of various test equipment
• Experience working as an electrician
• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
• Experience in renewable energy field.
• Assist in Fire Safety procedures
• Awareness of stock control process & procedures
• Communicating with Suppliers as and when needed for service or any other purpose

Requirements

Requirements:

• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience)
• Experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations
• A recognised electrical apprenticeship and approved electrical qualification
• An appropriate knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Have current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Risk Assessments)
• Extensive domestic electrical experience (preferably from a social housing environment)
• Ability to co-ordinate and priorities work and meet deadlines as an individual or supervising others
• Demonstrate a high level of customer care
• Competence in written, oral and electronic communication and record keeping
