Description

This position is based in Ireland.
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Diagnoses electrical problems, ensures compliance with electrical codes, and maintains safety standards.

Key duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams to plan wiring layouts.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) or local Irish electrical rules.
• Perform safety inspections and issue completion certificates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve power outages or circuit issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training program.
• Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent certification as required by local regulations).
• Proven experience in electrical installations and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) or local electrical codes.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Physical dexterity and ability to work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
• Valid driver's license.
