Overview

We are Seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join SAOO TSD/Capital Program Management Division.

The organization handles and executes brown field oil & gas projects in Southern Area Oil Operations of Saudi Aramco.

The engineer is expected to perform project costing activities during the planning and execution phases of the project. Also, the engineer is expected to have full knowledge and experience in utilizing available costing practices to prepare project estimates and perform effective financial controls to ensure the project meets the requirements of the budget (total cost, annual expenditure forecast and cash flow).

Key Responsibilities

You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Prepare, review and monitor cost commitments, Expenditures Forecasts for Oil industry projects

Initiate funding for preliminary engineering, and monitors Project Proposal and Expenditure Request Estimate development activities

Assist in front-end planning and preparation of reports for management

Develop and set up work breakdown Structure (WBS) for the projects

Develop, implement and interpret cost control procedures for application to the engineering and construction of capital projects

Provide cost engineering expertise for the engineering, Procurement and Construction Contracts

Prepare cash flow, total forecast, project financial close out reports

Review and analyze Change orders and claims

Prepare and analyze costing data for project status reports (i.e. Project Planning Update and Monthly Project Update)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration as minimum

Minimum of 10 years' experience in costing and estimation of brown field projects at Oil & Gas industry facilities

Must be able to perform project costing/estimation activities using available costing practices and recommended to have experience in processing invoices and report utilizing various SAP transactions and applications

Ability to review projects estimates to ensure proper development of cost elements in light of current industry practices

Ability to compile and analyze project costing data report to identify deviations from the project plan and develop necessary corrective actions

Preferred to have membership with internationally recognized technical societies
