Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
Ensure that Contractor’s employees possess the required trade skills, technical competence, awareness of Company health and safety requirements and the physical fitness to qualify to work in the Company’s operating areas with safety and efficiency and quality workmanship.

Main Task & Accountabilities:
• Identify the requirements for trade testing of contractors’ tradesmen and representatives.
• Review, validate and update the documentation and procedures for trade testing of contractor’s tradesmen.
• Review and update DMS documentation for Trade Testing.
• Coordinate with the Superintendents at interest to manage and conduct trade tests through internal or external resources.
• Compile the technical specifications for 3rd party trade test service contracts and administer the contract.
• Ensure preparation and maintenance of the appropriate documentation and audit trail for trade testing.
• Participate in the assessment of logistics and mobilization of manpower resources for various shutdowns in accordance with the approved shutdown schedule.
• Periodically review and assess the organization, facilities and processes for training and trade testing, of the major Contractors that provide services for the maintenance work.
• Conduct audits to confirm compliance to Trade Test Standards.
• Record observations and action items.
• Monitor the action items to completion as per planned dates.
• Administer the issuing and management of Trade Test Card for Contractor’s skilled tradesperson, who passed the trade test, listing the trade skills passed and period of validity.
• Maintain all records and manage trade test data.
• Administer the Termination /cancellation of Trade Test Card in coordination with Contractors and Security Department as a part of trade test data management.
• Monitor and optimize the manpower resources to minimize peak manpower, improve productivity and efficiency.
• Identify resource providers for all scenarios.
• Participate in post-shutdown analysis of manpower planning and utilization to ensure continuous improvement at future T&Is.

Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Oil and gas Industry, out of which minimum 5 years should be in the refinery maintenance or projects preparation and execution.
• Good understanding of Major Maintenance work or Refinery project works in Oil and Gas Industry General Refinery Operations
• Exposure to trade testing, recruitment, and mobilization of contractor workers.
• Knowledge of refinery equipment and processes.
• Fully PC literate and basic understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Possess good English communication skills both orally and in writing and have good report writing ability.
