Engineer - MEP - (HVAC)

Job description / Role

To execute and supervise Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system installation and testing activities at project sites, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The role is responsible for coordinating HVAC execution with internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety and performance compliance throughout the project lifecycle

- Interpret HVAC drawings and specifications and coordinate with design and execution teams to ensure conflict-free installations.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower for uninterrupted site activities.
- Monitor daily execution progress and ensure quality compliance during equipment installation and duct fabrication.
- Support testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, including air balancing, water balancing, and functional performance testing.
- Maintain documentation including installation checklists, test reports, and material consumption reports.

- Minimum Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC specialization
- Language Skills: Proficient in English; working knowledge of regional language preferred
- Years of Experience: 08–18 years
- Nature of Experience: Experience in site execution of HVAC systems in building or infrastructure projects, including equipment installation, ducting, commissioning, and compliance with technical standards
- Technical Skills: HVAC equipment installation, ducting and piping layout, air and water balancing, chiller and AHU commissioning, insulation techniques, understanding of HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC), AutoCAD, MS Office, testing and commissioning procedures, quality control, safety compliance, HVAC System Installation, Reconciliation, Resource Planning
- Leadership / Behavioral skills: Team coordination, problem solving, attention to detail, communication, accountability, adaptability, result orientation, time management, safety awareness, stakeholder collaboration
