Alfanar Construction is classified as a Grade I contractor by the Contractors Classification Committee of the Government of Saudi Arabia.

Alfanar Construction is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with a track record of consistent growth. We have emerged as a strong EPC contractor in the energy, infrastructure as well as engineering services sectors in Saudi Arabia.

The core EPC activities of Alfanar Construction are in the fields of:

• Power and water projects
• Transmission and distribution projects
• Building construction (industrial and commercial) projects
• Electro-mechanical projects

Key accountability areas

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, relays, and protection systems.
• Monitor and manage the daily operations of substations to ensure uninterrupted power supply and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Analyze operational data to identify and address performance inefficiencies.
• Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and diagnostic assessments of substation systems.
• Ensure calibration and functionality of all protective relays and control systems.
• Document and report inspection findings, including potential risks or areas requiring attention.
• Support commissioning, startup, and integration of new substation projects.
• Coordinate with design and construction teams for the installation or upgrade of equipment.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, such as IEC, IEEE, and local regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for personnel working on or around substation equipment.
• Participate in audits and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.

Work experience

4 to 6 years.
