Engineering Manager - Civil & Structures

Job description / Role

Our team is growing and we are currently seeking for an Engineering Manager (Civil) that will be based on our Riyadh Metro Project in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Louis Berger, as the lead firm, was awarded a contract by the Arriyadh Development Authority to provide program and construction management services for Package 3 of the Riyadh Metro project. Package 3 is an $8 billion project involving management of the design and construction of Line 4, Line 5 and Line 6, as well as 22 stations, in the new metro system.

The incumbent will report functionally to the Project Director and will lead the civil engineering team and manage preliminary design review consultant and lead reviews of their work; manage Metro PMCMs and provide oversight of D&Bs; coordinate interfaces and integration between lines; coordinate with Bus and Roadway Project Managers; coordinate with PMOC stakeholder manager; coordinate with PMOC traffic and planning teams; submitting all reports and deliverables by their due dates; recommend overall execution strategy; coordinate procurements for PMCMs and D&Bs; report on progress of implementation; make presentations to client and stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Professional certification preferred
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to plan and manage workloads and people in a multi-project/multi-disciplined environment.
- Working knowledge of HSE and Quality Management with emphasis on process
- Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions / negotiations with contractors.
- 20 years of experience, with 8 years in metro Civil Infrastructure.
- Experience in leading the Civil Engineering team which includes tunnels, elevated viaducts, structures, cut and cover boxes, rail stations (deep ground, shallow ground and elevated stations)
- Suitable experience in the capacity of Engineering Manager on a metro project
