Job description / Role
A unique role is available within a multinational pump manufacturing business in the Eastern Province for an experienced Engineering Manager.
The role will work very closely with the GM, managing the Engineering Team/ Technicians in manufacturing, building, rebuilding, servicing and repairing rotating equipment / pumps.
Responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing contract documentation and specifications to validate equipment performance against customer requirements and define scope of work
• Preparing complete bills of material, section drawings, GA drawings and other technical documentation
• Preparing the necessary technical specifications to allow procurement of auxiliary equipment
• Implementing Engineering best practice
• Presenting the results of technical investigations in a concise and professional report format
• Providing failure analysis reports and recovery and improvement recommendations
• Project Managing standard upgrade Programs through the workshop
• Collecting site data to assist team efforts in Root Cause Analysis activities
• Assisting in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) efforts to develop & implement process improvements which continuously enhance performance & service to the customer
• Demonstrating market knowledge of pricing and competitive trends relating to service & repair and upgrade services
• Mentoring and overseeing training of other developing Engineers
• Assessing the potential commercial prospects of aftermarket technical requests
• Providing teams with recovery and improvement recommendations
• Convincing customers of the technical and commercial benefits of upgrade offerings
Requirements
We are looking for a professional and extremely motivated Engineering graduate with at least 8-10 years’ experience with at least 5 years of managing a team. You MUST have experience of PUMPS and hydraulic fundamentals as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerance drafting. An understanding of life-cycle costing and value-added pricing is also a must.
