Job Purpose

As a recognized company expert in his/her field of engineering discipline, incumbent provides professional advice and guidance regarding operational processes, equipment or techniques, facility designs and solutions to unusual operating and maintenance problems. Looks for ways to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. Responsible for maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions in design through Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices. Represents Saudi Aramco in dealings with vendors, manufacturers and/or design firms where expert engineering advice in his/her expertise is required.

Responsibilities:

DUTY1 / effort % (020)
Provides expert advice and assistance to Company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating to his/her area of expertise.

DUTY2 / effort % (020)
Originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.

DUTY3 / effort % (010)
Develops and maintains Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices, Design Manuals or other documentation to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.

DUTY4 / effort % (010)
Evaluates and introduces new technologies to help the Company achieve Best in Class positions in the company business.

DUTY5 / effort % (010)
Reviews and evaluates the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to Saudi Aramco.
Acts as Aramco's representative in dealings with vendors and manufacturers pertaining to his/her field of experience.

DUTY6 / effort % (010)
Works on or with Task Forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems.
Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.

DUTY7 / effort % (010)
Promotes a learning environment and continuous development to improve expert status within his/her specialty. Acts as a mentor to junior engineers. Conducts seminars, presents case studies, and writes papers for peer-reviewed journals on engineering studies and projects he/she has overseen.

Participates in local and international technical societies to serve the company interest.

Title : Endorsed by ES Spec Dev Prog Board or Aprvd by CE
Req./Pref. : Required
Comments-Nature of Cert./License Relations: Endorsed by Engineering Services Specialist Development Program Board or Approv

Title : Principle & Practice of Engineering (PE)
Req./Pref. : Preferred
