Job description / Role
Principal Objective
Design and review assigned projects with particular emphasis on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes.
Organizational Relationship
Engineer will report to an assigned discipline engineer. Will interact and coordinate work with other Royal Commission Departments.
Major Activities Performed
• Familiarizes with all Royal Commission codes and standards, General Design Criteria and Technical Guidelines, standard drawings and standard guide specifications
• Assists in the review of A/E contractors design submittals, specifications, calculations and coordinate work of other disciplines and departments.
• Assists in preparation of technical specifications and drawings for bid packages related to the development of various community and industrial projects.
• Assists in the review of vendor drawings and shop drawings.
• Performs various engineering calculations, as necessary.
• Performs field inspection and provide field support, as necessary.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or surveying.
• Minimal 10 years’ experience in design of land development or site development projects.
• Must possess basic engineering skill and able to interpret field data.
• Experience in quantity take-off and preparing BoQ.
• Must possess basic engineering skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and writing, in the English language. Ability to communicate in Arabic is a plus.
• Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
