Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for:

- Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
- Coordinating cooks' tasks.
- Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
- Designing new recipes, planning menus, and selecting plate presentations.
- Reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.
- Hiring and training kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers.
- Performing administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
- Setting and monitoring performance standards for staff.
- Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling guest problems and complaints.

Job purpose:

- Oversees the daily operations of restaurant and hotel kitchens. This may include hiring, training, and overseeing kitchen staff, and ensuring a high-quality, cost-effective product. Also known a chef manager or head chef.

Key accountabilities:

- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs.
- Supervise kitchen staff's activities.
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Recruit and manage kitchen staff.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role, with a successful track record in driving growth, achieving operational and commercial excellence, and delivering financial results.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the capability to anticipate and proactively manage challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and leading diverse teams.
- Unwavering integrity, with a commitment to ethical practices and sound corporate governance.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, with a drive for innovation and a readiness to take calculated risks
- 10 Years Experience in the same role is required
