The Finance Manager represents the finance function in the business and takes full ownership of the accuracy and timeliness of the P/L , GL and CF. To execute this , the Finance Manager has to develop a deep insight into the business and local regulatory frame works ( Tax ,Vat and other financial regimes ), form productive , value enhancing relationships with GM and the local team , as well as with the SSC, Corporate and local institutions .

This role will have solid line to country management and dotted line to the FP & A function.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manages the day-to-day operational banking relationships in the country and provides periodic feedback to Group Treasurer on bank performance.
- Coordinates the audit with the controllership team and auditors – communication first to be coordinated with Corporate Controller to avoid wrong “external” communications.
- Understand and explain difference between management accounts, local books and tax books in country.
- Coordinates preparation of local tax returns with local tax advisors as approved by Corporate Finance.
- Prepares monthly reporting pack and on demand financial reports, comparative income statements and balance sheet reviews with local management and FP&A team.
- Executes policies and procedures and assists subordinates in application of policies and procedures as set by Corporate Finance.
- Provides timely accurate financial reports for the averda business to local MD and Corporate FP&A team.
- Provides accurate 13 weeks rolling cash forecasts on a weekly basis to MD and Corporate Treasury.
- Plans and schedules business project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and enables Corporate Finance support if and when required
- Manages accounts and supports receivables and all collection functions in country
- Manages the preparation of the company budget in coordination with Corporate FP&A, following Corporate guidelines on budget process
- Reports to management and Corporate FP&A on variances from the established budget and related action plans to get back on track to meet budget targets
- Prepare and provide timely monthly FP&A decks for group consolidation to exCom
- Prepare monthly forecast for the country
- Manage local working capital, mainly DSO (AR) and DSI (inventory)
- Optimize local cash generation in country
- Engages in on-going cost reduction analysis and resources optimization in country
- Tracks and analyzes operational data/metrics to optimize profitability of existing projects in country
- Interprets the entity’s financial results and recommend improvements
- Coordinates forecasting demand with procurement
- Reviews contracts and provide recommendations on financial terms
- Supports local management in different business cases
- Provide ad hoc financial information to local management

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA:
- Timely analysis and reporting
- Planning monthly/quarterly meetings with the COO/MD/FP&A
- Efficiency opportunities identified in order to create more value for the business
- Alignment to functional and business goals as well as the functional governance and standards
- Successful stakeholder management
- Supporting the MD in the daily decision making

Requirements

This Position requires a University degree; local finance/tax experiences as well as local language skills is a plus.

- Years of Experience ideally between 5 and 7 years
- Experience as finance professional within the areas of Finance and Controlling or Financial Planning and Analysis
- Experience with IFRS
- Exposure in multinational environment
- Excellent knowledge in the areas of Finance, planning and operations. Broad understanding of the external market and how it should influence strategy
- A proven consultative approach and an ability to influence senior leadership regarding critical business decisions
- Just be flexible, adaptable and motivated by constant change. Proven success in an ever changing, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment
